Rabbi Scott Bolton
Rabbi Scott Bolton and his wife, Rabbi Amy, have four children, two live in Israel and two in NY. They enjoy hiking, hosting, attending live music performances and viewing art. Scott began his rabbinic studies at HUC Jerusalem, Yeshivat Nahalat Rachel and then was ordained at the Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies in 2000. He became a faculty member of Hillel Day School and the Frankel Academy in Detroit. He went on to head two Solomon Schechter Day Schools and earned leadership certification through the Day School Leadership Training Institute. Currently, he is a mentor and facilitator in the Israeli Ministry of Education's Gateways International Collaboration program. He also holds a Certificate of Zionist and Jewish Identity Education from Melitz. For the last fifteen years, Scott has served as rabbi of Congregation Or Zarua on the Upper East Side of Manhattan which is a traditional, egalitarian synagogue. Towards helping realize missions he cares about Scott serves on the International Advisory Board of the Auschwitz Institute for the Prevention of Genocide, the American University Hillel Board, the New York AJC Board and the Rabbinic Cabinet of the Society for the Protection of Nature in Israel. He's delighted about the Clal Faculty Fellowship.
