Rabbi Becky Jaye

Rabbi Becky Jaye (she / her) serves as a rabbi at Temple Emanu-El of Westfield, New Jersey. She also served as the Program Manager for Emor: The Institute for Bold Jewish Thought, a project of T’ruah, where she led initiatives fostering courageous conversations on pressing moral and political issues. Rabbi Jaye was ordained by the New York campus of Hebrew Union College–Jewish Institute of Religion. She also holds a Master of Arts in Religion from Yale Divinity School and a B.A. in American Studies from Yale College. Following her undergraduate studies, she served as a Yale-China Teaching Fellow in Zhuhai, China. Raised in a biracial and interfaith family, Rabbi Jaye is deeply committed to building inclusive Jewish spaces that honor diversity and shared humanity. She has worked with organizations such as the URJ, The Lunar Collective for Asian Jews, Ammud: The Jews of Color Torah Academy, Auburn Seminary, Avodah, and the Institute for Jewish Spirituality. She is also a trained facilitator with Dismantling Racism from the Inside Out, a project of KIRVA. Outside of her rabbinate, Rabbi Jaye enjoys reading, traveling, and time with loved ones. She is currently training as a birth doula and supports families facing fertility challenges.
