Rabbi Carl Perkins served as the spiritual leader of Temple Aliyah in Needham, MA for 31 years before assuming emeritus status in 2022. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Rabbi Perkins studied at Haverford College, Harvard Law School and, as a Wexner Graduate Fellow, the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, where he was ordained and earned a master's degree in Talmud and Rabbinics. He was the Rabbi Samuel T. Lachs, z"l, Fellow in the 2015 cohort of Clal's LEAP program. He currently is an adjunct instructor in Jewish law at Hebrew College Rabbinical School and teaches a weekly Talmud class via Zoom.
