Sarah Mackenzie

Sarah Mackenzie is Manager of Community Development at the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver, where she advances regional strategy across British Columbia. Her work focuses on rural Jewish belonging and models of decentralized leadership, with an emphasis on provincial integration planning toward a federated Jewish BC. With a background in nonprofit leadership, grassroots engagement, and interfaith initiatives, she brings a relational, community-rooted lens to strengthening Jewish life beyond urban centres. She is passionate about urban food security and grows an annual garden for preservation at her home near Tsawwassen, where she lives with her husband. They have five children, whose journeys from childhood to early adulthood continue to shape and inspire her commitment to nurturing Jewish life across generations.
