Abigail Treu serves as the Senior Rabbi at the historic Oheb Shalom Congregation in South Orange, NJ. Co-author of The Bible's Top 50 Ideas, her writing has appeared in Tablet, Kveller, JTA, the NY Jewish News and NJ Jewish News. Her prior work as a Rabbinic Fellow at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America brought her to speak and teach nationally, and during her tenure at the Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan she ran Jewish life programming connecting more than 55,000 people each year. She serves on the steering committee of the Jewish Community Relations Council at Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest NJ where she heads one of the largest interfaith clergy councils in the state, and is an activist in Black-Jewish relationship building. Her podcast Finding Hope with a Pastor and a Rabbi is available on YouTube, Spotify and Apple podcasts. Her book Goodwill: Jewish Wisdom for Toxic Times is due for publication in Spring 2027.
