Rabbi Cantor Elizabeth Bat-Sarah

Rabbi Cantor Elizabeth Bat-Sarah is a dynamic teacher and a creative leader, committed to the transformation of Jewish society through person-to-person relationships. She is committed to creating communities that are spiritually vibrant, intellectually challenging, and emotionally uplifting. Her career began as a Hillel songleader, and has included time as a nursing home chaplain, a teacher, and a Hebrew School Director. Rabbi Cantor Bat-Sarah is known as a supportive mentor and educational leader, who has increased enrollment at all three of the Hebrew Schools that she has directed. She has made her home everywhere from Fairbanks to Chicago, serving communities in Los Angeles and Salt Lake City along the way. In Los Angeles, she created interfaith programming between Jewish, Episcopal, and Muslim grade schools. In Salt Lake City, she spearheaded and led a community Pride Seder during Passover for three years and was integral to the execution of the Pride service which began Salt Lake City’s annual Pride Festival.
